Disney food! It is one of the icons of the Disney parks, and I am sure the first time you walked through those park gates you were curious to try a turkey leg or looking for where to get something that was not a burger or chicken tenders.
There are so many amazing restaurants on the Walt Disney World property, I have not even managed to go to them all and I have visited there 7 times now!But I have been to many restaurants there, and there is one that has always stood out to me!
I always remember going to visit my Nanna one day, and my auntie brought her photo album to the house of her recent holiday to Disneyland Paris. At this point, Disney was just a dream to me, I thought that I would never get to go there. She showed me photos of her and my cousins at Cinderella's Royal Table (or whatever the Paris restaurant is called, I'm sorry I'm not sure what it is!), and there was a photo of Cinderella's glass slipper, which was a white chocolate desert. From then on I knew exactly what I wanted to do - go to Cinderella's Royal Table and have a glass slipper desert!
In 2014 I was lucky enough to go there with my Mum, Dad and little sister to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary, and it was one of the best days of my life. I had so many Disney goals at this point, being able to work there being at the top of the bucket list but you know, we work small first!
It felt so satisfying to be able to finally go there and to see inside the castle. It was one of the best themed restaurants I have ever been inside (I have not been inside Be Our Guest yet so it could change....one day....), not to mention we were sat right next to a window, so we had a beautiful view of fantasy land to look out on!
The food itself was not the best - it was not terrible by any means, but there is definitley better on the Disney Property. Plus, something that really disappointed my childhood self was that they didn't have the glass slipper on the desert menu, but it had been several years since my Auntie had been to Disney, plus they went to the Paris park so there could be a difference in the menu! Instead, they had a desert that was shaped like a clock, which was still really nice and looked just as fabulous!
It was an experience I will never forget, not to mention the characters we got to meet that day! It is definitely worth a visit at least once, but personally for me, it was worth the visit just to go inside Cinderella's Castle.
