The New Years Resolution Book Tag - 2019

Welcome back to a post that is probably full of empty promises!! Just like my resolution last year to post on here more often....I am sorry, but at least 2018 does have the most posts of the other years I have had this blog! If you are at all interested, you find the post I did last year if you click here, but for now, here is the New Years Resolution Book Tag for 2019!
1) An author you’d like to read (that you’ve never read before)

I'd like to read some more Shakespeare this year, if Shakespeare counts as an author!

2) A book you’d like to read

I am intrigued to read Hunted by Meagan Spooner. It was a book that I was excited to read back when it first came out, but I had read some pretty bad reviews about it. I received it as a gift for Christmas, so I guess now is the time to find out how good this book really is!

3) A classic you’d like to read

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It is a book I have owned for a while but have never got chance to reading, hopefully this will change by the end of the year! Sorry my gay side is showing!

4) A book you’d like to re-read

Definitely Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas since there is so much that I didn't take in when I did read it, but its a brick so its kind of putting me off reading it at the moment...

5) A book you’ve had for ages and want to read

The Women of Baker Street by Michelle Birkby. The same as last year...I'm sorry I will get round to it eventually!

6) A big book you’d like to read

I'd like to read The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I'm Pretty interested in it and it's lived on my shelf for a while.

7) An author you’ve previously read and want to read more of

I'd love to read more or Marissa Meyre's work, I really enjoyed Cinder when I first read it, and I finally bought Scarlet so I can continue the series!

8) A book you got for Christmas and would like to read

The Surface Breaks by Louise O'Neil. I love fairy tale retellings and the cover of this book is so pretty!

9) A series you want to read (start and finish)
I don't actually have a new series on the agenda at the moment, but maybe I will find one later into 2019 that I fancy reading. I think because the majority of last year was reading a series I'm kind of looking for stand alone books or books that have one or two sequels, nothing more than that at the moment though. It's also because with university taking up so much of my time it takes me long enough to read one book anyway.

10) A series you want to finish (that you’ve already started)

The Darkest Minds Series by Alexander Bracken, the first book was my last read of 2017, but honestly I have forgotten what has happened since so I will probably have to re-read the first one before reading the other books.

11) Do you set reading goals? If so, how many books do you want to read in 2019?
I managed to reach 25 books in 2018, so this year we are stepping it up to 30 books.

12) Any other reading goals?
I would like to try adding a few more non-fiction books to my collection.

So here are the goals I have set for 2019, I am still just working on my reading list for 2018 where I give my thoughts on each book I managed to read in 2018. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and here is my reading list from 2017 if you are interested while you wait for my next post.
